Connecting Canterbury

Kent Savers is working with Connecting Canterbury to extend our services into Canterbury.

Connecting Canterbury

Connecting Canterbury is harnessing the desire across the Christian communities in Canterbury to provide a network of joined-up support and assistance across the city.

Connecting Canterbury is a way for churchgoers to become part of a community support network, to be the front line cup of tea and sympathetic ear, and a friendly source of useful and relevant local information. Connecting Canterbury volunteers will be listening to people’s problems and suggesting and signposting help and support from local agencies ranging from debt advice, fuel poverty and energy savings to alcohol and drug dependency and domestic violence.

New branches

As well as working with organisations such as Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Canterbury Food Bank and the Job Centre, the Connecting Canterbury network are hosting three branches of Kent Savers.
